Climate change action

Climate change defines one of humanity’s greatest challenges, demanding meaningful action. From our daily operations to the products and services we bring to market, we are focused on creating a cleaner, more resilient future.

Achieving net-zero emissions

Our goal is to achieve net-zero emissions across our value chain by 2040. Our targets have been validated by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). In the near term, by 2030 we aim to achieve a 67% reduction in our combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions. Our decarbonization levers are:

  • Renewable energy use

  • Rationalization of office space and Green Building Program

  • Electrification of our vehicle fleet

  • Sustainable business travel

  • Engagement with key suppliers

Making climate-conscious technology

Beyond reducing our own footprint, we help others accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. Our products and services empower drivers, businesses and public authorities to adopt and promote smarter, more sustainable mobility. Examples include:

  • Accurate EV routing and range algorithms to promote EV adoption

  • Analytical traffic products including the Traffic Index and Area Analytics to inform decision makers with live and historical traffic insights

  • Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) solutions and features like jam tail warnings for road safety enhancements and congestion reduction
