What you’ll do:
- You will scale high load systems and increase their reliability in a diverse evolving environment
- You will work on the architecture, design, and implementation of new and existing systems to enhance their reliability, efficiency, scalability, and enable new business features.
- You will ensure the mission critical systems have 99.9+% availability and reliability
- You will be part of Incident Management and will improve the TTR.
- You will support navigation tooling in the world.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes on public cloud platforms (AKS and/or EKS) and related technologies and tooling for cloud runtime platforms and end-to-end delivery (packaging, service mesh, ingress, identity, and access management).
- Familiar with at least one public cloud platform, preferably Azure or AWS
- Proficiency in at least one of programming languages (Golang, Python, Lua)
- Architecture skills for distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, Experience with Cloud-native architecture, technology, engineering, and operations based on CNCF tools
- CI/CD technologies, including source code management (GitHub), pipelines, secrets, artefacts.
- GitOps practices and infrastructure automation, including infrastructure as code
- Experience with SRE best practices, observability, incident management and SLIs.
- Security, privacy, and compliance essentials
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux systems and typical usage cases.
General skills and experience:
- Experience on working in production-grade platform related teams (Cloud, Infrastructure, SRE)
- Extensive experience in high-availability solutions (99.95+ availability and reliability)
- Experience building and operating mission critical systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- MSc in computer engineering or equivalent desirable
Nice to have:
- Experience with Online Web API with a good knowledge of HTTP protocol
- Software architecture fundamentals
- Software-defined operating models and technologies, including IaaS, CaaS, and PaaS
- Serverless technologies
