What is the Finance Graduate Program?

The TomTom Finance Graduate Program is a two-year journey designed for graduates who want to kickstart their careers in a dynamic, inclusive and international environment (see the rotations for the Finance Graduate Program in Pune here).

You will follow a tailor-made rotation plan within our finance organization, allowing you to develop a broad set of skills and gain exposure to different areas of finance. You’ll be welcomed into our hybrid work culture, get to collaborate with diverse teams and connect with senior stakeholders across the business.

As soon as you start, you will take on real responsibilities, work on meaningful projects and continuously build your financial, commercial and analytical capabilities. Throughout the program, you will be supported by training platforms, mentorship and knowledge sharing with experienced TomTom’ers. Upon successful completion of the program, you will continue your journey at TomTom in a permanent role that matches your strengths and ambitions.

What unit could you join?

There are three core rotations within the Finance Graduate Program. Each builds on the previous one, giving you a progressively broader and deeper understanding of TomTom’s financial operations.

Financial Shared Services

Financial Shared Services – FSSC (eight months)

FSSC is made up of various teams, including Business Accounting, GL Accounting, Procurement, Cash Management, Payroll, and others. These teams oversee four crucial financial processes: Source to Pay, Record to Report, Quote to Cash, and Hire to Retire.

Working closely together, the FSSC team’s mission is to simplify processes and systems, all with the goal of creating customer satisfaction. You will get to know the financial reporting tools we use and learn about the accounting rules and treatments we follow. through this, you’ll develop a strong grasp of TomTom's business, product portfolio and transactional processes. 

Business Finance

Business Finance (eight months)

The Business Unit Finance team serves as a Finance Business Partner, collaborating closely with TomTom’s other functions. It controls costs and safeguards margins, while also putting together forecasts and budgets. Additionally, it provides analysis and insights to guide and support decision-making. TomTom Business Finance is made up of two key units:

  • Revenue Finance: Automotive, Enterprise, Consumer

  • R&D Finance: Maps, Platform Products 



Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with different teams in the business, including product management, software engineering, sales and marketing. You will also be able to provide financial analysis to influence and drive decision-making. 

Corporate Finance

Corporate Finance (eight months)

Corporate Finance is made up of diverse specialist teams. The first is Group Control, which oversees the annual budget and long-term financial model processes, as well as being responsible for monthly financial management reporting. There’s Investor Relations, which ensures clear communication with the financial markets, helping investors and analysts understand our company, strategy and financial results. Tax and Treasury manage the company's tax position, with a focus on maximizing cash efficiency and mitigating financial risks. And then there’s Corporate Accounting, which keeps everything compliant with IFRS accounting standards, manages group consolidation, delivers external and ESG reporting and oversees TomTom's internal control framework.

In Corporate Finance, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management and gain a detailed understanding of TomTom from a group perspective.
