Ralf-Peter Schäfer is the Vice President of Product Management for Traffic at TomTom, where he oversees the global product portfolio for Traffic and Travel Information. With 17 years of experience at TomTom, he has held various leadership positions in Research, Engineering and Product Management. Ralf-Peter has a wealth of knowledge and expertise, with more than 20 years of experience in research and development of content and products focused on car-centric traffic sensing and service delivery using probe vehicle data. His responsibilities include the development of applications for dynamic navigation, Traffic Analytics and Traffic Management. Additionally, he leads the annual Congestion Index launch, providing congestion benchmarks for nearly 400 global cities, showcasing his dedication to providing valuable insights into global traffic patterns.
