TomTom at SXSW 2023: It takes the world to map the world

TomTom headed to SXSW on March 12th to present a panel discussion on worldwide collaboration and the future of mapmaking – featuring guest panelists from Meta, Lyft and the Overture Maps Foundation.

Collaborative mapping takes centerstage at the convergence of creativity, tech and innovation

Maps are a part of our daily lives, no matter what we do or where we go. And the more we move, the more data we create – revealing further patterns and insights. This location data is changing the way we (and our stuff) get around, and how we make sense of the world around us.

Today, location data has opened the door for new business models that challenge age-old industries and, in some cases, create entirely new ones. Companies, countries, cities, and nonprofits, large and small, are unlocking its value, using data-driven insights to make smarter decisions for both personal growth and the wellbeing of the planet.

Learn about how collaborative mapmaking can accelerate innovation and disruption. Listen in as those at the heart of the conversation discuss the mechanics, challenges, and opportunities an open location data ecosystem will bring.
