    What you'll do:

    • Drive the visual design process to create delightful and polished products
    • Transform conceptual ideas into design solutions
    • Create pixel perfect layouts, guidelines and assets
    • Display meticulous attention to detail and ensure consistency across all platforms
    • Present and share your work in a compelling and convincing way in front of key stakeholders
    • Manage multiple projects in an agile way
    • Mentor less experienced designers.
    What you'll need:
    • At least 5 years of experience in designing software applications for mobile, devices or web
    • Strong design portfolio that shows a variety of styles
    • Ambition to help drive positive change
    • Great sense of empathy that allows you to make user-centric decisions
    • Strong conceptual and communication skills
    • Persuasive and able to explain design rational both to internal and external stakeholders
    • Passionate about cartography. Affinity with map design and map styling (JSON) is a pro
    • Excellent illustration skills with strong attention to detail
    • Familiarity with best practices for UI design, touch interfaces and in-car use context
    • Mastery in a broad toolkit of Visual Design and Digital Prototyping tools like Adobe, Sketch, Principle…
    • Eager to try new design tools and methods
    • Ability to drive frequently and test design implementations
    • Solid time-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to run simultaneous projects.

Fueled by user insights and data analytics, our mission is to create powerful, easy-to-use products that delight our customers – from the millions of drivers who use our products every day to the automotive customers who embed our technologies in their vehicles. We make this happen by delivering the design specifications for all TomTom’s products. Our UX Leadership team is based in Amsterdam with sub teams at all major TomTom product development sites. Joining us, you’ll be part of a team that brings together design disciplines from user research to interaction, concept and visual design.
