    The Facility Coordinator performs a wide variety of general office and facilities management functions. Based from our office in Farmington Hills, this position would also extend to our other offices in San Jose and Lebanon. This position is ideally for a young Facility professional awaiting a next career step and requires a flexible, pro-active problem-solver with a detail- and customer service-oriented personality. Who can only think about new and innovative ways to make our offices as pleasant and hospitable as possible.

    What you’ll do

    Responsible for most aspects in and around the buildings, including but not limited to.

    • Construction management 

    • Coordinate constructions works as part of a project team 

    • Monitor construction progress and report accordingly 

    • Technical building management 

    • Act as main point of contact for office vendors, developing and maintaining relationships with landlord, contractors, maintenance companies, supply vendors, etc. 

    • Monitor and follow-up on building maintenance issues and projects. 

    • Workplace management

    • Maintain general orderliness, cleanliness and professionalism of the office atmosphere 

    • Facilitate office events to maintain a thriving company culture and enhance community engagement 

    • Contract management

    • Research, source and manage the high valued purchasing and maintenance agreements for your office 

    • Continue existing projects and develop innovative ways to meet the needs of our employees and guests

    What you’ll need
    • 2 years of experience in building maintenance, workplace management or contract management. 

    • Proficiency in office tools and processes, working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and modern online communication tools

    • Flexibility (fixed working hours with additional on call duties) 

    • Positive attitude & “can-do” mentality that is customer service oriented 

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to multi-task 

    • Ability to work independently as well as with a team, excellent follow-through and follow-up skills 

    • Willing to travel within the US 

    • Good communication skills and a strong command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written 

    • Able to bring fun into the workplace and foster the TomTom spirit and culture
