Be responsible to define, design and scale the right metrics to measure the quality and evolution of the products, by stating the quality level of our maps via statistical experiments that help us understand where we are and why, and deliver effective insights that help drive our map editing strategy
Draw the strategy based on insights obtained by manipulating data from a huge variety of sources: system logs, satellite imagery, vertical imagery, street level imagery, GPS traces, etc - individually and by fusing several combinations of these sources
Design processes to use these sources individually or their combinations to predict various map features and attributes by training statistical models/ ML / AI models
Be responsible for the performance and results of a team
Develop departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities
Control resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
Make decisions guided by resource availability and functional objectives, decisions usually may need be taken without clear policies and procedures.
Manage large, potentially diverse teams of senior professionals
Look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems
Develop plans and delivers results in fast changing businesses and/or regulatory environments
Provide input to functional or departmental strategy
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s/Masters/PHD in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent field
Minimum 10 Years of experience working as a Data Scientist, coding on Python or deploying ML at scale in production
Proven experience in managing and motivating teams of Data Scientists and Data Engineers
Experience working with Python, Spark & Big Data technologies
Experience in deploying trained models for high scalability on public cloud platforms
Experience with using GIS tools for spatial data analysis
Outstanding organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects - passionate about technology adoption
Effective communicator, strong interpersonal skills and excellent team player
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, good at data storytelling
Self-motivated, driven and results oriented
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Ability to travel
