    What you’ll do

    As VP Sales in Japan, you will be working for an exciting, innovative and fast-growing automotive supplier leading navigation, live traffic, connected car and autonomous driving technologies. You will have the chance to shape and drive actively the development of one of our biggest customers using your strong commercial skills and passion for technology.

    • You will collaborate with other VP Sales and the account team to create content-rich, compelling and competitive commercial proposals in response to new automotive customer opportunities in the areas of software for navigation, ADAS and AD.
    • You will be responsible for the management of a major OEM account. Overall management of customer relationships on all accounts managed by your teams.
    • Be responsible for revenue from the key account and the revenue forecast accuracy.
    • Be responsible for the development of the key account and growth of sales with booking targets.
    • Be responsible for an account that has C-level visibility at the OEM and internally.
    • Identify new opportunities for sales based on customer needs.
    • Win new business for the next generation of infotainment platforms but also in the growing areas of ADAS and AD.
    • Lead the deal review process.
    • Maintain long-term financial planning for your account.
    • Collaborate with finance, and product management on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals.
    • Develop a complete understanding of the TomTom location, mapping and navigation ecosystems, ADAS and AD.
    • Devise product go-to-market process, plan timelines, launch scenarios, pricing and promotions.
    • Undertake constant competitor analysis and develop a detailed knowledge of the markets’ actual needs.
    • Develop a long-term account strategy plan and execute it.
    • Position TomTom as a key technology partner with multiple stakeholders at the OEM.
    What you’ll need
    • Strong passion for technology and the digital revolution of the car industry.

    • Proven success exceeding expectations in hitting revenue targets and retaining and growing customer relationships, within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment at automotive.

    • A consistent and proven track record of achievement in hiring, developing, and mentoring highly successful teams; proven experience managing directors or managers of all other revenue-supporting teams.

    • Strong sales experience with automotive customers as a Tier1 supplier ideally from the software industry.

    • Result driven.

    • Ability to constantly learn and stay on top of changes in our technology, products and business models.

    • Engineering background and ideally combined with a business degree.

    • Japanese with an excellent level of English, both written & spoken.

    • Based in the Greater Tokyo area.
