    The Director of Software Engineering is the true owner of her business domain along with his product management counterpart.

    The Director Software Engineering typically owns the results of the software engineering teams in a coherent business domain, taking full accountability for business impact, strategic direction, and a fit-for-purpose org structure.

    What you’ll do:
    • Director of Engineering will report to the VP of Engineering, you will manage a team of software professionals
    • He will be responsible for structuring the Engineering team to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
    • He will work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Architects to define product roadmaps.
    • He will be required to provide architectural and technical guidance and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed.
    • He will provide direction and goals to the team and interact with stakeholders.
    • He will drive preventative quality initiatives such as code hardening/defensive coding techniques initiatives as well as customer enablement initiatives to improve their user experience.
    • He will collaborate with cross-functional managers and leaders to prioritize features and plan for software and service updates
    • He will actively grow leaders in the team.
    • His primary impact is through others, focusing on coaching and developing direct reports.
    • Technical and people decisions are his responsibility, while the business direction is created along with product counterpart
    • He is responsible for financial planning and budget ownership of his unit
    What you’ll need:

    Proven 18+ years of experience in product development engineering organizations.

    Proven ability to drive innovation, deep and hands-on understanding of technologies.

    Java software engineering experience, developing commercially successful applications that are, scalable, highly available, and expose robust APIs.

    Experience in Big Data,AI/ML is a plus.

    Very strong technical leadership skills coupled with a passion for empowering and driving excellence in teams.

    Experience establishing, or partnering with others, to stand up DevOps capabilities in product development organizations.

    Experience working with geographically distributed cross-functional stakeholders creating strong inter organizational relationships.

    Experience in leading organizations through Agile transformation.
