    What you’ll do

    As a Sr. Application Engineer, you will be the TomTom representative at the customer and support the customer in product implementation and testing in order to ensure the best possible product and compliance to the technical business requirements.

    • You are the first point of contact for the customer on project related technical topics (including collecting, analyzing and answering project specific questions).

    • Establish good relationship between customer and TomTom project teams.

    • Attend all relevant client/project meetings.

    • Support milestone validation, bench-tests and test drives.

    • Analyze, track and follow-up with reported/detected issues.

    • Work in interdisciplinary international teams with engineering location in Belgium, Poland, Netherland, Germany and Taipei.

    • Support integration and validation together with the customer and report status and progress to project team and ensure thorough follow up.

    • Support local customer quality department and customer factories with quality issues.

    • Beside technical support you will manage assigned projects with customers.

    • Attend at customer location when needed.

    What you’ll need
    • More than 5 years of experience in relevant business area.

    • Experience in software development or technical support; experience in Navigation software will be considered as a strong plus.

    • Strong English and Japanese communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Experience working with multinational, cross cultural, cross-functional teams to reach a desired and successful outcome.

    • Willingness to develop expertise in new products and technologies.

    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, self-managing.

    • Taking up sub project lead role and work closely with the project lead.

    • Knowledge of requirements management and bug tracking systems eg. Jira.

    • Experience in automotive industry will be considered a plus.
