You will be working in, and leading, a cross-functional dynamic product analytics team.
You will work with a variety of teams specifying mapping, navigation, and innovative technology
Proactively collaborate with stakeholders from product teams across TomTom to help make data-driven product decisions.
Interact with stakeholders including product management, privacy, user experience, software development, marketing, sales, and data science.
Use modern data methods to extract insights and make decisions based on data, including:
Mapping new features into data requirements and specifications.
Defining metrics to measure the growth and usage of products.
Evaluating data quality and driving improvements when needed.
Designing and performing hypothesis testing experiments.
You’ll persuasively communicate these insights through visual and understandable presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Coach, support, motivate and guide your team members.
Contribute to advancing Product Analytics as a discipline within TomTom.
You’ll be able to shape the future of TomTom by using your quantitative analysis skills to improve our products
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s/Masters/PHD in Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent field
5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist, ideally at a product-focused software company
Experience leading a technical team: leading by example, supporting, motivating and guiding the team
Expert in the development of software products, with a strong appreciation for the importance of rapid validated learning cycles through experimentation
Strong level of proficiency with Python and SQL
Reporting and dashboarding tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
Experience working with technologies for large-scale data collection and data processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Hive)
Good knowledge of statistics and experiment design
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, good at data storytelling
Nice to have:
Direct experience working as a people manager
Experience building a team, recruiting and developing world-class team members
Experience working in a multidisciplinary product development team and leading change in a large organization
Familiarity with software products such as APIs and SDKs
Working experience with large-scale geospatial or automotive data
Familiarity with Azure technologies (e.g. Power BI, Databricks, Synapse)
