    Your Mission 

    You will work as a product manager within API Management which is part of the Developer Experience group at TomTom. Your team’s mission is the creation of an API Management Platform to be used by all of TomTom’s developers. This platform aims to reduce toil and speed up teams’ ability to make their products accessible to TomTom’s customers by means of APIs. This will help enable TomTom’s engineers to spend more time creating differentiating business value rather than worrying about the low-level details of API Management. You will play an important role in the creation of a brand-new API Management platform that can scale up to support Trillions of API requests.

    What you'll need 

    • A good understanding of APIs and preferably API Management. 
    • A solid familiarity with API productization and monetization.
    • Experience with working with software developers as either internal or external customers. E.g., you have worked on a developer tool or managed your own developer productivity or API Management platform. 
    • Have a strong focus on product enablement/go-to-market (training, producing content, tech evangelising etc.) 

    What you’ll do 

    • Work as a product manager to enable the creation of an API Management platform that streamlines the process of making APIs available, enabling developers to focus on TomTom’s core business.
    • Identify issues blocking adoption, collaborate with stakeholders on solutions and provide follow-up on the implementations. 
    • Take a lead role in discussions with engineers and other stakeholders making sure the voices of both our external and internal customers are heard. 
    • Evangelise API Management adoption with internal customers, this includes creating training and other enablement materials. 
    • Identifies goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value; continually make recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings. 
    • Responsible for products, not people.
