    We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager with the technical depth to interact with TomTom’s technical departments as well as the marketing flair to create and deliver market communications in the area of Automated Driving.

    TomTom Automotive is the business unit that provides maps, connected services, and navigation software to vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers. We integrate our technologies into applications for in-vehicle navigation, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous driving and other innovations that drive the automotive industry. Installed in millions of cars, these great car brands already integrate TomTom navigation components: Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Renault, Nissan, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Hyundai, Mercedes, Toyota, Ford and many more. In recent years, we have grown strongly with major global customer wins.

    You will be a member of the Automotive Product Marketing team in TomTom’s Automotive Business Unit. This unit forms the bridge between our technical product units and the Automotive Market for the commercialization of our cutting-edge navigation technologies such as embedded and smartphone navigation technology components, traffic services, and advanced driving assistance and autonomous driving products.

    The Product Marketing team is responsible for working out what are the right products for the automotive markets, coordinating the product management of the product portfolio together with the product managers in the technical departments, as well as supporting sales in marketing the products.

    This role covers the exciting area of Automated Driving, for which we are developing & marketing a product portfolio based on our location-based technologies. This topic covers all automation levels from L0 (driver warning systems) through L1-L2 (advanced driver assistance systems or ADAS) to L3-L5 (highly automated / autonomous driving systems).

    What you’ll do
    • Understand customer needs, the competitive field, and potential partners;

    • Create a market vision and go-to-market strategy to deliver winning value propositions;

    • Manage the product portfolio from a market perspective, and work with TomTom’s technical departments to deliver this product portfolio;

    • Develop and maintain product marketing material, in close collaboration with product managers in TomTom’s technical departments;

    • Support market development and pre-sales activities by presenting compelling stories to customers, partners, press, and at conferences;

    • Initiate press releases, and being the first point of contact for internal stakeholders on marketing & PR regarding Automated Driving;

    • Coordinate pricing activities together with the Finance and Sales departments, and provide the market input into the pricing model;

    • Create Market Intelligence reports on the competitive and customer landscape, including quantitative modeling of the demand side, with a view of implications and recommendations for TomTom;

    • Build a network and lead collaborations with ecosystem partners.

    What you’ll need
    • University degree in technology, business, marketing, or finance field, MBA or post-grad marketing education is a plus;

    • 8+ years working experience in a technology-driven industry, such as Automotive, Mobile, or IT;

    • 3+ years of product marketing or product management experience with a track record of successful software/service product deliveries, preferably in the automotive industry. Experience with automated driving or location-based services is a plus;

    • Fluent reading and speaking English, additional languages are a plus;

    • Ability to relate to software architects, product managers, and other technical experts for TomTom’s products;

    • Marketing savvy: experienced in producing compelling stories and presentations;

    • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and influencing skills; and

    • Ability to travel 10 - 20% of the time.
