Work together in a team of researchers and engineers designing and developing services to support the quality assurance of map making based on crowd-sourced sensor data
Automate the process of source data verification, and verification of the map production process
Help ensure the overall quality by participating in both code as design reviews
Design, implement, and deploy infrastructure as code for public cloud platforms (Azure)
Be a problem solver, not just a software engineer
What you’ll need
Ability to participate in the development and delivery cycle, from analysis, through implementation, to deployment and maintenance in production
Experience with Cloud Computing (Azure)
Experience in CI/CD (Azure DevOps , Jenkins) and tooling
Experience with developing Microservices
Experience with Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration
Experience with scaling distributed software applications
Experience in Python and experience with one or more other compiled programming languages, such as Java or C++
Proven experience with a track record of delivering high-quality code
What’s nice to have
Basic understanding of mathematics, geometry and statistics
Experience with Geographic Information Systems tools (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS)
Eagerness to get research products and prototypes into production
You have a collaborative team player mindset
Experienced LINUX user
