As an Engineering manager of a group of talented software engineers and testers, you will lead the team in deploying market leading navigation systems and services. Your team will work in a multi cloud setup using advanced agile and continuous delivery principles with an ever improving engineering practice. 

Your responsibilities encompass many aspects of software development including technical requirements analysis, architecture and design, code reviews, automation and continuous delivery, while delivering customer value, with high quality along with continuous personal advancement.

What you’ll do
  • Provide technical direction to the team to deliver solutions leveraging Cloud technologies to ensure highly automated, cost efficient, reliable and scalable systems for global map updates with fast cycle times.
  • Orchestrate the design, development and delivery with high quality, performance and scale by ensuring timely execution and delivery;
  • Fully accountable for the performance and end results of a team of 10-20 members;
  • A zeal for solving customer problems and cascading the same passion across the team;
  • Develops and builds the team: attract, recruit and retain capable individuals;
  • Helps individuals to continuously learn and develop themselves (collects, provides and helps to interpret feedback); decides on fair compensation, benefits and promotions;
  • Adapts team plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges;
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in software development;
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role with people management experience;
  • Coding experience preferably with Android;
  • Proven track record with complex architectural designs and getting them developed and deployed;
  • Knowledge of modern programming technologies and latest delivery models such as DevOps
  • Experience growing technical teams in terms of skillset and engagement;
