Develop innovative navigation solutions for the next-generation car lines, bringing together TomTom location technologies to build customer-specific systems
Work in close collaboration with OEMs and development teams across TomTom on diverse domain and technical areas, spanning onboard and online navigation, online service delivery, and autonomous driving
Work on a mix of design, development and integration tasks, using mainly Java/Kotlin for Android
Solve complex system integration puzzles, for example performance optimizations and fine-tuning
Develop, share and enhance best practices for the full software development life cycle
Coach and support development of less senior engineers in the team
At least 5 years of Android programming experience
Experience with cross-platform development (Android, QNX, Linux) and operating system concepts
Working experience as part of a self-organizing Scrum team in an agile environment
You have a solid understanding of Java/Kotlin knowledge, Android, Gradle, GitHub, and Azure DevOps. This will help you to assess the impact of what the team delivers and take ownership for shaping the direction of the team and its systems in line with business objectives and strategy.
Hands-on experience in Kotlin (Java) and/or C++ development
A mindset of continuous improvement, staying up to speed with the latest tools and techniques in an ever-changing technological landscape
Experience in automotive domain is a big plus
