You will be working as a software engineer in our AmiGO team in-charge of our navigation mobile app (AmiGO);
You will work on React-Native to upgrade and come up with new features for this cross-platform mobile app (iOS and Android) to enhance our customer experience and satisfaction;
You will deliver comprehensive automated tests and supervise the implementation process of the features you have developed, including defect fixing;
You will participate actively in maintaining the quality and architectural integrity of the software by designing features and frameworks, identifying and executing refactoring improvements, and help hold everyone to the same standard through code reviews;
You will collaborate closely with other teams within TomTom Navigation, including those delivering navigation enablers like routing, traffic and speed camera data to name a few.
You are currently completing your degree in an engineering-related field;
You are an EU citizen or enrolled in a Dutch university (to meet work permit regulations);
You are fluent in English
You are familiar with macOS, Git and scripting languages like Ruby;
An experience in UI development is a plus;
You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills;
You are a team player while you also enjoy working independently;

As part of TomTom’s Apps and Web product unit, the AmiGO team develops iOS and Android mobile App for daily drivers – all based on TomTom’s online location-based technologies. The team is on a mission to redefine what navigation means for drivers by providing insanely accurate technology benefiting from growing community input. Our engineering, UX design, and product management teams collaborate on the conception and delivery of innovative new features using the latest innovations within mobile, cloud, machine learning and natural language understanding. Your day to day contributions will be in the hands of our 1 Million AmiGOs!
