We are looking for a Global Mobility Coordinator to join our people team for a duration of 7 months.

What you’ll do
  • As a Global Mobility Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring that all international employees (incl. family members) are taken care of and are offered high-quality support and services. Together with the Global Mobility team, you help deploy and explain TomTom’s Mobility policies, ensuring that the transition from one country to another runs as smoothly as possible. The responsibilities range from meeting immigration requirements, organizing visas and coordination of the relocation package;

  • Advise hiring managers and Talent Acquisition on considerations, timelines and cost estimations related to international hires;

  • Manage and calculate international hire’s costs based on TomTom’s Global Mobility policies;

  • Collaborate with the Reward Tax Manager on the tax and social security obligations, wage tax returns in various countries, and other specific tax-related topics of the international hires;

  • Manage internal Global Mobility stakeholders involved with our international hires;

  • Collaborate with internal and external Global Mobility service providers;

  • Main contact point and subject matter expert on immigration and Global Mobility topics for our international hire population;

  • Collaborate with Finance for the correct allocation of costs for Global Mobility;

  • Become part of a driven and enthusiastic global team of HR experts located in Amsterdam.

What you’ll need
  • You are likely to have a Bachelor or Master degree in HR Management, social or business sciences and between 1 - 2 years of relevant mobility/expat management experience;

  • You have knowledge of the Dutch immigration legislation;

  • You have knowledge and experience in Global Assignment Management;

  • You have basic knowledge of local and international tax, social security, and labor legislation;

  • As the coordinator will be working with stressed and anxious employees and their families, you must be able to empathize and sympathize with their situation and deal with cultural differences.;

  • Great communication skills – organizing a relocation involves talking to numerous people and offices. You must have strong communication skills to ensure that all parties are informed, helping operations to run smoothly and focus on an awesome new hire experience;

  • Team orientated – a key responsibility in the Global Mobility Coordinator role is working as part of and supporting the team around you. This requires you to be willing to take on roles you may not have stepped into before and develop new valuable skills;

  • Strong organization skills – during a move, many arrangements have to be made, This means that you must have strong organizational skills and have a keen eye for detail, strong planning, and time management skills;

  • You are a self-starter, think creatively, are curious by nature, and work independently to resolve issues. With your positive attitude and energy, you are able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under tight time constraints;

  • You are fluent in English
