What you’ll do

You will be a member of the Customer Programs team in Automotive Systems establishing yourself as the “go to” person for our OEM customers in Italy. You will develop expertise across a wide array of products including navigation, online services, ADAS features, and autonomous driving domains. You will build a network with the relevant internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the following:

  • Routinely interface with the program team, product management, and OEM stakeholders to help align our navigation products with customer expectations

  • Act as the lead technical representative in the region by addressing OEM and supplier topics of interest related to navigation systems and services

  • Ensure product and service deliveries are mainly friction free with key stakeholders by supporting customer validation activities

  • Help the TomTom program team meet strategic and tactical goals

  • Manage issues, escalating as appropriate, and work with internal teams to identify and remove impediments

  • Understand the customer vehicle roadmap and the relation to TomTom product offerings

  • Help enhance current practices, policies, and partnerships to mature project execution capabilities

  • Collaborate with both internal and external cross-functional groups on solutions to automotive problems and challenges

What you’ll need

We are looking for an experienced self-driven professional with the technical depth to interact with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers on our automotive applications. In addition, you will interact and align with other departments in TomTom, like Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering. We believe the person that can accomplish these value-added activities would have the following background:

  • University degree ideally in a technical field or a university degree with equivalent technical experience

  • At least 5 years experience delivering software products in a B2B environment

  • Excellent business level language skills in both Italian and English

  • Familiarity with lean principles, DFSS, root cause analysis, and process management

  • Exceptional problem solving, diligent follow-through, and logical decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and influencing skills with experience in an international environment.

  • Proven track record managing competing priorities in an ambiguous environment

Nice to have:
  • SDLC experience in infotainment, SaaS, or location technology

  • Good knowledge of Android and Java

  • Technical knowledge or experience with AWS or Azure

  • French language skills
