We are looking for a Data Engineer to work with the Data Unit to help us shape the future of TomTom. You will enjoy working with one of the richest data sets in the world of mapping and navigation, innovative technology, and the ability to see work turned into real products. You should have a background in data engineering, experience working with large data sets and data-driven decision making. You will be working in a multidisciplinary, open-minded, and dynamic team on a mission to data re-evolute TomTom.
As Data engineer you design and develop scalable data-based cloud products to efficiently gather, manage and use data.
You have a DevOps mindset and treat your data tooling as any other product worth of CI/CD practices.
You proactively manage our data stakeholders to match their requirements on discoverability, security, governance, and big data analytics.
You continuously improve the infrastructure, tooling, and quality of our data products.
The outcome of your work will help data scientists and other data stakeholders turn information into insights.
3+ years experience with cloud computing environments (Azure, AWS or GCP).
Experience with ETL, efficient and robust data pipelines, both batch and streaming.
Experience with database solutions (both relational and non-relational) & cloud storage.
Container and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes to scale distributed systems.
Experience with programming languages such as Python and Java (Scala is a plus)
Automatic Testing best practices: Load testing and Unit Integration
