As Cloud FinOps Manager CCoE (Cloud Center of Excellence) you will engage with engineering leaders to drive efficient use of public cloud resources. You will define strategy on how to drive and measure efficient use of cloud. You will lead a team of BA’s that provides insight into the public cloud spend for TomTom, generates recommendations and supports teams to improve efficient use of public cloud resources and compiles management reports to track cloud spend and efficiency KPI’s. You shall contribute to the roadmap for tooling and automation on cloud spend.
Affinity with IT and financial/ business reporting
Experience with and interest to expand knowledge on cloud spend analysis
5+ years of professional experience in information technology operations.
Experience in leading people
Experience using PowerBI, Excel, Cloud native cost reporting tools (AWS or Azure), so demonstrated experience with cost optimization.
Practical knowledge of native cloud provider cost management capabilities and pricing models. Preference will be on Azure.
Experience in building out a FinOps subject area
Proficient cost management knowledge including trending and variance analysis and forecasting
Experience with capacity planning and rightsizing, tagging and storage lifecycle policies, and automation
Passion for working in an agile team
Analytical skills to collect, coordinate and present sophisticated data to a variety of audiences
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
Hands-on mentality with a demonstrated talent for solving problems proactively
A positive and open approach – we expect you to use your voice and bring in new ideas and solutions
Networking capabilities: build relationships easily
Desire to continuously learn and share knowledge
Bachelor or master’s degree in Business Economics or IT
A technical background or education
2+ years of experience with Cloud provider technology services is preferred
Experience with third party Cloud Cost Optimization tools
Experience with managing reserved instances in a cloud environment
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum
An “automate everything” mentality and a healthy dislike of toil
Maintain and share in depth knowledge of cloud savings opportunities
Lead a small team of BA’s and coach them to increase leadership and impact
Provide monthly reporting on group level on cloud usage and spend
Track progress on initiatives around cloud spend optimization
Engage with and advise division VP’s to invest resources to savings opportunities
Engage with and advise engineering teams to realize savings opportunities
Centrally maintain the reserved instances in public cloud in collaboration with the engineering teams
Contribute to automation around cloud spend insight and optimization through requirements definition and design
Participate in project relating to modeling the cost of running online services
