As an Associate Regional Sourcing Specialist in Sourcing Operations team, you will be responsible for research, assess and acquire any type of information for the creation and maintenance of TomTom map databases, to perform quality checks and to develop and maintain working relationships with existing and potential providers / partners.
This role is also to be a country sourcing specialist of Japan with expertise in local language, geographical know-how, mapping regulations and good industry connect.
Bachelor’s degree with a background in geography, GIS or related area (fresh graduates with relevant skills are welcome to apply);
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and proficiency in Japanese and English;
1+ year experience in GIS or related area;
Experience in GIS processes and related software packages (ESRI, QGIS...);
Experience with large datasets their suppliers and open data (especially of a spatial format);
Adaptable and able to produce results in a dynamic tech environment;
Ability to work independently within a team environment and actively support the efforts of others;
Availability of domestic travel.
