Your Mission 

You will work as a product manager within the Developer Experience group at TomTom. Your team’s mission is the creation of a Developer Productivity Platform for all of our developers. This platform aims to reduce cognitive load and toil and speed up the process of releasing high quality software. This will help enable TomTom’s engineers to spend more time creating differentiating business value rather than fighting with tools and infrastructure. The Developer Productivity Platform’s scope runs from source code management to CI/CD, code quality, code security, secret management, to Kubernetes/Serverless reference architecture and finally SRE practices and observability tooling. People, processes and tools are all equally important parts of the solution. There will be plenty of focus on all three of these aspects.
 
What you'll need 
 

To 100% believe in the DevOps way of working and want to bring this into practice. 

Deep familiarity with at least some part of the DevOps tool chain (source code management, CI/CD, code quality, code security, secret management, container orchestration technologies, SRE practices and/or observability tooling).

Experience with working with software developers as either internal or external customers. E.g., you have worked on a developer tool or managed your own developer productivity platform. 

Have a strong focus on product enablement/go-to-market (training, producing content, tech evangelising etc.) 

Clear advantage: Experience with making change happen in large, complex organisations. 

What you’ll do 

Work as a product manager to enable the creation of a developer-focused platform that streamlines the software delivery process, enabling developers to focus on TomTom’s core business.

Take a lead role in discussions with engineers and other stakeholders making sure the voices of our internal customers are heard. 

Identify issues blocking adoption, collaborate with stakeholders on solutions and provide follow-up on the implementations. 

Take part in the ongoing standardisation of developer tools within TomTom. 

Take part in developing and refining processes related to software delivery. 

Evangelise developer tool adoption with internal customers, this includes creating training and other enablement materials. 

Identifies goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value; continually make recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings.
