The Application Analyst Analytics and BI's principal duty is to support users in formulating high-level requirements and to translate these into data model design and reporting solutions. The role is based in Amsterdam and reports to the Application Manager Analytics & BI.
Review, analyze and evaluate related processes and user needs to propose application changes and solutions.
Manipulate large, complex data sets, articulate how data and analysis relates to KPIs and management of business outcomes
Convert business expectations into data solutions using BI and analytics tools to create queries/reports, generate data visualizations and dashboards.
Help drive prioritization of backlog across sprints and coordinate agile delivery of solution implementation.
Drive change through documentation of application requirements, creation of test specifications, and training materials.
Trace unexpected results back to errors or problems and drive resolution with engineering teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, MIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, another analytical discipline or equivalent work experience.
Two to five years of relevant experience with creating functional specs, analysis of relational databases, using SQL to build queries, data management, analysis, and creating dashboards.
Experience with either SAP BW on HANA 7.5 or BW/4 HANA and any of the following: SAP Analytics Cloud, PowerBI, or Tableau
Experience with financial reporting and related planning processes.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.

Enterprise IT is responsible for implementing and operating applications for TomTom’s shared services departments like Finance, Legal, HR and Sales. Key enterprise applications in our landscape are SAP, Workday, Salesforce, SAP BW, Robotics and Biztalk. The Enterprise IT Analytics and BI team that you will be part of includes the application manager and 5 application engineers located in Amsterdam and Pune, India supporting large data warehouses for business processes across all of TomTom, worldwide, providing intelligence about sales, finance HR and logistics.
