We are looking for an experienced tech writer to cement TomTom’s position as a thought leader in the automotive and enterprise industries through long-form (blog posts, etc.) and micro content (LinkedIn posts, etc.). You must be able to demonstrate the role we play in these industries through impactful, relevant writing, and start and contribute to conversations. You also create meaningful content that drives awareness and lead generation for the TomTom brand. This position reports to the Head of Content, sits within our in-house creative studio and serves the key business units of Automotive and Enterprise.

To be successful in this role, you got to love tech! You must have a background in tech journalism (print or online) – have a demonstrated ability to talk about technical concepts in an accessible, relatable way that is meaningful to the target reader. You must be an adept interviewer, researcher and relationship builder. You must also need to dig below the surface of things and tease out interesting concepts.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and inspire the development of first-class thought leadership content along with other production means inclusive of videos, infographics and data visualization in order to ensure optimal delivery of content to target audiences across multiple channels.

  • Act as a single point of contact/gatekeeper for existing, repurposed and thought leadership content.

  • Optimize content for maximum performance.

  • Manage multiple assignments from creation of editorial calendar to weekly posts.

  • Conduct regular content audits on relevant channels to ensure consistency, message relevancy and effectiveness. Make recommendations for updates and revise as needed.

  • Stay up to date on research and cutting-edge trends to ensure that content is relevant and innovative for the current marketplace.

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of tech editorial/blogging experience.

  • Creative, curious, a little rebellious, and have great sense of humor.

  • Experience writing to B2B audiences (preferably in the tech/SaaS space) and should be able to develop engaging content to attract and retain customers.

  • Capacity to work independently and autonomously, self-identifying opportunities and prioritizing focus areas.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a track record in building a great network across diverse areas of focus.

  • Excellent organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently, while accommodating competing stakeholder needs (both internal and external).

  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, often-changing environment.

  • English fluency required. Multi-languages a plus.
