What you’ll do:
  • Lead the development of connected navigation systems that the TomTom Automotive Systems product unit develops for its business customers

  • Being involved in both product definition and product development and builds upon the assets developed by the various TomTom product units

  • Work closely together with many stakeholders among which customers, sales and marketing, product management, product units, corporate security and privacy, suppliers, quality assurance, program and project management, architects and developers

  • Own the product architecture and ensure that the product is designed such that it delights our customer

  • Analyze customer requirements for assessing technical feasibility; contribute architecture visions to technology strategies and architectural runways, being responsible for product DFMEA and the product security threat analysis

  • Contribute to RFI/RFQ responses by creating a technical proposition that is typically documented in a technical annex and presented to the customer in a hearing

  • Contribute to architecture user stories, provide a solid basis for reliable product feature size estimations, and ensure that technical dependencies are considered when deciding on the product release planning

What you’ll need:
  • 4+ years of extensive/relevant experience with Software Development

  • Experience working with architecture design tools such as Visio, DrawIO, PlantUML, etc.

  • 2+ years of building systems and designing scalable solutions

  • Experience with advising/mentoring an engineering team

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, including presentations to technical and non-technical audiences, from developers to executives

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Full stack and/or end to end system experience in a technical capacity

What’s nice to have:
  • Automotive experience

  • Knowledge of cloud technology related to connected vehicle technology (V2X)

  • Infotainment or in-vehicle navigation experience 

  • Relevant experience with Android (AOSP)

  • DevOps (Jenkins/CICD/Artifactory/AWS Tools) experience
