API Management is responsible forauthentication, authorization, accounting and directing calls to the correct back end for the TomTom Maps API products.
The API Management team is looking for an engineer that can helpdecreasedeploymentfailuresbyincreasingthe quality of the deployment processin addition tothe continued evolution of the system. The candidate will be expected to drive team members to sufficiently testing functional areas and have experience with integration tests. Driving change to improve test coverage to improve the product validation while deploying will be key to the success of the team. This candidate should have proven experience doing so.
A background in software engineering in a highly available environment
Hands-on experience with the design and implementation of tests
Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google)
Ability to analyze integrations to source of change that caused an issue + impact (good root cause analysis)
Experience implementingusing different scripting languages (Bash, Python, Golang)
Persistenceto ensure automated tests supplysufficientcoverage
Experienceconnecting multiple or complex systems and testing them
A positive and open approach, we want you to have a voice and bring in new ideas and solutions
Fast learner, flexible, can independently work and make good decisions, team player, and adaptable to change
Familiarity with improving quality of cloud services (self-healing, automate everything)
Making test results visible and comparing them to quality metrics to determine whether to release or not
Using code repositories for version control, code reviews and test runs
