As a Team Leader you will be working with and leading a team of skilled, innovative and dedicated engineers in creating TomTom’s next-generation connected car products and solutions. You will be collaborating with outstanding UX designers, software architects, domain experts as well as industry leading external partners.

You are responsible for the successful creation of innovative software solutions by participating in multiple aspects of software development including solution design, implementation, automation and continuous delivery and integration.

• Develop and build a technical team: Responsible for performance management, career development and training needs.
• Create an employee friendly environment where productivity, quality, transparency and openness are valued.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by empowering and enabling your team.
• Lead a culture of fail fast and learn faster; encourage team to experiment and try new solutions. 
• Application development and integration with C++, Android.
• Work in a UX driven way.
• Use Agile methodologies to deliver innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Orchestrate the design, development and delivery of end-to-end applications that will delight drivers while shortening development cycles for carmakers.

As an Engineering Team Lead at TomTom you have the technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver projects, but more importantly you are also able to successfully manage and develop a team of engineers. You are an autonomous, self-starter with a can-do mentality.

• Hold a Taiwan passport / PR; or if you are a foreigner currently residing in Taiwan, we can support you with your work permit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in software development combined with object-orientated software design abilities.
• Knowledgeable about Operating System concepts (Linux, Android), cross-platform development and unit test frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience in technical leadership and people management of at least 5-10 team members.
• A hands-on technical and people-centric approach with excellent cross-discipline collaboration skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships within the team and throughout the organization. 
• Influence, motivate and develop team members to perform to the best of their ability.
• Proactive with a sense of urgency and ownership in results.
• Product quality and customer driven mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking and writing in English as the primary language at work.
