What you’ll do:

TomTom is seeking a Facility Technical Officer to join our Facility Operations team. The Facility Technical Officer will build and manage a outsource service provider team of Subject Matter Experts (electrical, mechanical, building controls, Housekeeping and Security), and will serve as the point of contact for stakeholders. The responsibilities of this role include management of a technical, Soft services and security team, coordination and prioritization of a wide range of projects and processes within the site, and communication of issues with various teams at the site. This position reports directly to the Facility Manager in India.

  • Build, develop, and lead a outsource service provider team to provide technical support, soft services and security to the critical operations team and all stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain technical facilities and equipment necessary for ongoing production efforts.

  • Adapt at managing administrative activities involving purchase of equipments, maintenance of procurement, housekeeping, safety, security, employee induction etc.

  • Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds and security

  • Managing repair, maintenance & replacement of office equipments, appliances, etc.

  • Vendor management- Oversee acquisition, installation and commissioning of equipments that are required for the facility – IT Systems, air conditioning

  • Processes, Documentation, Business Control checks, audits etc.

  • Monitor all Statutory Compliance areas

  • Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained

  • Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to provide support where needed

  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards

  • Drafting reports and making written recommendations

  • Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness

  • Work with members across the organization to prioritize SME support

  • Support and oversee various sized and multi-phased projects

  • Coordinate the support of projects: meet deadlines, assign resources, monitor and summarize progress of multiple projects simultaneously, identify risks to facility or task completion to the Facilities Manager

  • Work directly with the Facilities Manager to assist in procuring owner-supplied equipment and services directly with the Procurement team

What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent field

  • 5+ years of experience directly managing a team

  • 5+ years project management experience in any combination of operations, maintenance, and project planning

  • Knowledge with Electrical, Mechanical and Fire Protection Systems, building codes and safety standards

  • Experience with MS Office applications, file sharing and collaborative web based applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with thoughtful attention to detail 

  • Prior experience of working with distributed teams and partners is crucial for success 

  • A dynamic self-starter with the ability to work successfully in a global team
