TomTom is looking for an Associate Project Manager with an automotive lobbying background to join the company’s Innovation and Policy team. You will be responsible for government and regulatory affairs in the automotive and autonomous driving domain and coordinate with multiple departments inside the company.

What you’ll do
  • Be an active member of TomTom’s Innovation and Policy team, driving TomTom’s policy agenda in Europe
  • Monitor policy and regulatory development in the automotive/autonomous driving domain in Europe and other key markets around the world
  • Interact with EU and Member State policymakers on issues that impact TomTom’s automotive and autonomous driving business
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Product, Business and Marketing teams to analyze legislative initiatives, advise on risks and opportunities, and develop company policy positions and messaging
  • Represent TomTom within CLEPA, ERTICO ITS-Europe & UNECE (WP.29/GRVA)
    Work with non-governmental stakeholders, including companies and trade associations
What you’ll need
  • 5 years of experience in EU Government affairs with minimum 3 years’ experience in the automotive domain
  • Experience in interacting with EU institutions, in particular EU Parliament and Commission
  • Excellent understanding of the automotive domain (expertise in type approval, ADAS/autonomous driving policy, data & AI policy) and ability to rapidly understand and master complex technical policy issues
  • A focus on positive results

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a cross section of stakeholders, including companies and competitors
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player with a positive attitude, motivation and a passion to improve road safety
  • Full English proficiency
  • Intermediate Office skills, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
What’s nice to have
  • Experience working for a vehicle manufacturer (OEM)
  • Additional languages an asset (French, German, Dutch)
