What you’ll do

You will be having a diverse internship, combining (paid) social media planning and project management, together with unravelling consumer and commercial insights. The internship is placed centrally in the Social and Insights team. You will be exposed to and supporting many different activities and initiatives. Your responsibilities are comprehensive and will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Supporting the Social Media Manager and Performance Marketeers where necessary. You will be their right hand man / woman.
  • Responsible for executing the content calendar and supporting day to day content creation for TomTom’s Consumer social media channels - @TomTomDrivers
  • Support with the execution & optimization of the online performance channels.
  • You will advise as well assist in creating ads, copy and content to optimize performance, including landing page creation.
  • Monitor our social networks and engage with our online communities, respond to comments, posts etc.
  • Together with the team analyse all data from our social campaigns, turn this into insights and actionable points.
  • Drive end-to-end customer insights activities, ranging from research to executing experiments for all consumer products.
  • Find facts and uncover insights: Leverage our rich datasets to help improve our collective understanding of what our customers love and hate.
  • Execute customer research through experiments, data mining, surveys or any other applicable method to validate new propositions.
What you’ll need
  • You are an EU citizen or enrolled in a Dutch university
  • You should be enrolled as a full-time student for the complete duration of the internship
  • You must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in a related field (e.g. business administration)
  • Curiosity, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude
  • A passion for creating, communicating and making an impact. You get things done!
  • Native or near-native, English proficiency
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • You find fun in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Flexibility, a balanced perspective and the ability to stay calm when approached with last-minute, deadlines.
  • Strong, relationship-building skills. You can work independently and in teams.
  • Interest in tech

Our team includes Corporate Communications, PR, Events, Web, CRM, Social, Advertising and an in-house Creative Agency. Together we make up a cross-disciplinary hive of international marketeers serving TomTom’s businesses and people worldwide. It’s our job to bring the TomTom brand to life externally and internally.
