    What you’ll do

    In leading the team your responsibilities will be:

    • Develop navigation devices used by car drivers around the world.
    • Around 40/60 split between leadership and software development.
    • Be part of the development team, coding in Java to develop leading edge navigation products based on Android platform.
    • Mentor and coach team members; Work with individual team members on the objectives and career development plans. Help them achieve these.
    • Develop and build the teams: attract, recruit, and retain capable individuals
    • Set objectives for the team and the individual team members and help them achieve these.
    • Lead the team to succeed in agile practices, in collaboration with the Scrum Master and Product Owner. Align delivery plans with Test teams.
    • Foster transparency and clean communication inside and outside the team.
    • Support product management on product planning, including contributing to the product strategy and roadmap, briefing product management on relevant technical topics, and providing advice on technical feasibility of features and infrastructure cost.
    What you’ll need

    The team lead needs the following abilities, skills, experience, and qualifications:

    • Have managed a team and has excellent communication and collaboration skills (English).
    • Experience with agile practices, and the ability to manage an agile team.
    • Quick learner who believes in continuous learning and acts as a catalyst for building this culture within the organization.
    • Proven track record of delivering apps and framework components for Android.
    • Excellent coding skills in Java, have driven code reviews for the team.

    • Awareness and experience in working with multicultural, multi-locations teams
    • Experience of Android platform customization and development
