Events Communications & Strategy – Specialist
    Apply to this Job
    What you’ll do
    • Plan with purpose: Help shape the strategic direction of our global events roadmap – identifying opportunities that align with our brand, our audiences, and our commercial goals.
    • Own the event comms: Be the go-to expert for event communications – ensuring all communications around and at the event are clear, consistent, and engaging across all event materials, speaking slots, and activations.
    • Scout speaking moments: Identify and secure impactful speaking opportunities for our internal experts. Match the right message to the right stage and help speakers shine.
    • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, the Internal Agency and event leads to ensure messaging and content are aligned and effective.
    • Stay ahead: Monitor industry trends, audience needs, and competitive moves to guide smarter, more strategic event decisions.
    • Support content curation: Make sure the story we tell at each event resonates with attendees and reflects the TomTom brand, positioning, and priorities.
    • Think ahead and stay on track: Own the creation and maintenance of roadmaps and strategic communication calendars, ensuring alignment across campaigns, teams, and timelines.
    • Help us work smarter: Look at what’s working, what’s not, and how we can improve using data, feedback, and good instincts to evolve how we plan and communicate events.
    • Bring structure to strategy: You’ll be organizing ideas, goals, timelines, and deliverables like a pro. Consider this role the Marie Kondo of our event strategy.
    What you’ll need
    • 3–5 years of experience in B2B marketing, communications, or strategic planning, ideally within tech, SaaS, or mobility
    • A bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or a related field
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with a storytelling mindset
    • Strategic thinking and the ability to zoom in on the details without losing the bigger picture
    • A structured mindset with strong skills in process improvement and internal communication to optimize and amplify the visibility of our team’s efforts.
    • Confidence managing stakeholders and guiding cross-functional teams
    • A collaborative, thoughtful approach to teamwork - we succeed together
    • Flexibility and calm when things shift quickly (as they often do in events)
    • Organizational skills that bring clarity and simplify complex projects
    • Curiosity and a constant drive to improve
    What’s nice to have
    • Experience working with B2B tech or developer-focused audiences
    • Background in media relations or speaker placement
    • Knowledge of go-to-market strategy or audience segmentation
    • Experience running or supporting executive communications
    • A knack for shaping content that connects (from booth copy to keynote narratives)
    What we offer

A competitive compensation package, of course.

Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning.

Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities.

Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize.
