Senior UI Designer for Mobile Apps

    What you'll do
    • Develop user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing and safe while driving
    • Establish and maintain a consistent visual language
    • Ensure quality and consistency across different domains and products
    • Deliver UI components, mock-ups, layouts, high-fidelity prototypes, design documentation, specifications, and UI assets, including icons and animations, in a timely manner
    • Contribute to building and managing our design system and libraries
    • Demonstrate design leadership through effective communication, critical thinking, and positive collaboration
    • Present and manage tradeoffs to both senior management and other team members
    • Engage with external clients, customer teams, and partners
    • Mentor and oversee junior designers
    What you'll need
    • At least 5 years of experience in designing consumer applications and products across mobile, web, or devices, demonstrated by a strong portfolio
    • Proven experience in designing scalable and modular solutions for Android and iOS platforms working with design tokens, UI libraries and components
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a passion for addressing user experience challenges
    • Full proficiency in interaction design and prototyping tools such as Figma and ProtoPie. Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and key AI tools is a plus
    • Ability to harmonize user needs and technical constraints with empathy and creativity
    • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional product teams with product management, engineering, and operations teams, ensuring continuous delivery and implementation of design assets
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching abilities, with a desire to mentor junior designers
    • Passion for (EV) cars and in-vehicle experiences. Having a driver's license is a must
    • Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus, along with a Master's degree in UX or UI Design

We deliver the design specifications for all TomTom’s products.
