This trail takes you through dry stone trails that go along some old cobbed paths created in the old days to connect the isolated villages of the Serra. The Serra Tramuntana is a unique sheer-sided mountain range parallel to the north-west coast of the island of Mallorca. It offers a beautiful landscape of rugged mountains, and dry stone terraces with old olive trees. It even received the World Heritage State of UNESCO in 2011. There are excellent hiking possibilities and some routes are also used for trail running. There are special rock climbing areas, too. This hike is part of the GR221: The Dry Stone Path. It starts in Refugio Tossals Verds and ends on top of a flat top mountain with great views at Castell d'Alaro.
