Chapman’s peak is the name of a mountain on the west of Cape Peninsula and is situated 15 kilometers south of Cape Town. The road takes you from Camp’s Bay to Chapman’s Peak along the magnificent coastline. This short (25 km) road is not without surprise among the world’s most scenic drives. The well-maintained road follows the arms of Camps Bay with on your left the Twelve Apostles and on your right the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The road hugs the mountains and meanders through Hout Bay and takes you to the highlight of this road trip: Chapman’s Peak Drive. Take in the dramatic views of cliff faces rising majestically out of the ocean. With its hairpin bends and serpentines the road takes you to a spectacular vantage-point that offers you great views of the bay. Keep an eye out for whales!

Please note: This road is subject to a small toll and the maximum speed is 40 km/ hour.
