The Rio Grande rises in the San Juan Mountains, in the Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado, at more than 3,600 meters altitude. After almost 300 kilometers, the cool homeland of trout on their way up through the 300 meters deep Rio Grande Gorge transforms into a huge, raging stream. The route follows the river on its adventurous path through vast, uninhabited nature to Albuquerque, the largest city in New Mexico. Duration: 4 to 6 days
