From the cool mountain passes of the Upper Engadine to the sunny terraces of Lake Lucerne, we reach the cradle of Switzerland. An encounter with the founding myth of Wilhelm Tell. Lake Lucerne is embedded in the northern side of the main Alpine ridge. Its height of only 450 meters, hairdryer winds from the south and the temperature-regulating water body allow for a very pleasant climate. The area is also perfect for a family holiday with different preferences. While one of them is exploring the mountain passes of Central Switzerland, the other can climb the panoramic mountains of the region on foot or by train, spend a bathing day or explore the beautiful Lucerne.
