The Coromandel Circuit is a 184 km tour around most of the peninsula that contains the Coromandel forest park. Start the tour in Kopu and head north along the coast. The fantastic combination of nice beach bays, forest and great road make it hard not to enjoy the ride.
The peninsula itself is steep and hilly and largely covered in rainforest, when the road deviates from the beach line I moves into the forest and hilly sections where it twists and turns making it one of the best motorcycling routes on the North Island.
Weekends can be quite busy, so during the week better.
