Red Rocks with dream beaches in between - but the Algarve can do much more. Those who enjoy the independence of motorcycle travel will be surprised at the last corner of Europe with wonderful alternatives beyond the flat-rate hype. The best-known region of Portugal has several faces. The southern coast of the Algarve is divided into the eastern part from the Spanish border to Albufeira: The Sotavento, the land away from the wind, is characterised by flat beaches and lagoons. The postcard motifs of the red rocks can be found in the Barlavento - this is the part between Albufeira and the Cabo de São Vicente which is exposed to the wind. Both parts (except for the outermost west) are densely populated and highly developed for tourism. Duration: 2-3 days
