Is this update meant for me?
This update can ONLY be used when you have already installed a registered version of TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 on your Pocket PC/Palm OS device.

This update cannot be used with:

TomTom HP Navigation Pack (HP iPAQ rz1710 + hx2110) using Navigator 4.xx
TomTom Navigator 2 and 3 for Pocket PC
TomTom Navigator 2004
iPAQ hw6910 and hw6915

Why should I download this update?
We recommend installing the latest version of TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 on your device:

TomTom NAVIGATOR 5.21 for Pocket PC
TomTom NAVIGATOR 5.201 for Palm OS

This new version has the following new features and improvements:

Improved phone functionality for your device. See the compatibility list for more information.
TomTom NAVIGATOR is now compatible with Microsoft Windows™ MOBILE 5.0 devices. See the compatibility list for more information.

Part 1: Download the update file
To update the application on your device, follow the steps below.

1. Click the Download button.

version 5.2xx (EXE)

2. Click Save. Save the application to your Desktop. Go to Part 2.

If you are unable to download this file, click the Download button below.

For security reasons, your network administrator may not allow .exe files to be downloaded. In such cases, you will have to download the .zip file provided below.

Click Save.
Save the .zip file to your Desktop.
You will need to extract the files from the .zip file before you can go to part 2.

Part 1 for Apple Macintosh users: Download the update file
To update the application on your Palm OS device, follow the steps below.

1. Click the Download button.

Version 5.2xx for Apple Macintosh (DMG)

2. The download starts. A volume will mount with the TomTom Setup application. Go to Part 3.

Part 2: Connect your device to the PC with ActiveSync Note: Part 2 only applies to Pocket PC users. Palm users, go to part 3. The Pocket PC is connected when the ActiveSync icon in the notification area on the taskbar of your computer is green.

Part 3: Update the application

Note for Palm users: You must have HotSync installed on the computer in order to start the TomTom Setup application.

1. Windows users, either:
Double-click the file navupd521.exe, which you saved on your Desktop.

Or:

Double-click the file setup.exe, which you extracted from the navupd521.zip file.
The installation starts. Apple Macintosh users:

Double-click TomTom Setup.
The installation starts.

2. Select your language.

3. Read the licence agreement. You must select I agree, then click

4. Select Install the application, then click

For TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 users (Palm OS)
After the TomTom Setup application has completed, you have to start HotSync so that the TomTom NAVIGATOR application is updated on your Palm OS device.

For TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 users (Pocket PC)
Follow the instructions for ActiveSync. The update will automatically replace the previous version of TomTom NAVIGATOR on your device.. After installation the NAVIGATOR wizard will start. Start NAVIGATOR by tapping TomTom NAVIGATOR in the Today screen.

For HP iPAQ HW 6510/6515 users
Follow the instructions for ActiveSync. The update will not replace the "GPS Navigation' application. After installation the TomTom NAVIGATOR wizard will start. Start TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 by tapping TomTom NAVIGATOR in the Today screen.
