TomTom and Traffic information
Because it’s traffic that matters, we currently offer two distinctive ways of providing traffic information, the TomTom PLUS Traffic service and the TomTom RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver accessory.
With these two options, when it comes to traffic information you can choose the option you feel best suits your needs and style. With both options, traffic information is fully integrated into the TomTom navigation experience.
In 2005 we started the TomTom PLUS Traffic service, providing high-performance, up-to-date, reliable traffic information, in real time to your TomTom. With TomTom Traffic, you can avoid problems and check the road conditions and weather ahead at the same time.
We offer the RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver as an accessory for GO 930/730/530, 920/720/520, 910/710/510, ONE 3rd edition, ONE XL, ONE (30 series) and XL (30 series). With some TomTom models, an RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver is included in the box. This is indicated by the addition of “T” or “Traffic” to the model name. An example is GO 930 T or ONE Traffic.
