J.D. Power and Associates Recognizes TomTom Commitment to Customer Satisfaction Excellence for the Third Consecutive Year

Concord, MA – December 1, 2009 – TomTom, the world’s leading provider of navigation solutions and digital maps, today announces that it has been recognized for call center customer satisfaction excellence for the third year in a row under the J.D. Power and Associates Certified Call Center Program. According to J.D. Power and Associates, TomTom has successfully passed the rigorous standards of the certification process and exhibited a solid commitment to customer satisfaction. TomTom is the only GPS Company to date to receive the award.

J.D. Power and Associates conducted a rigorous call center site audit reviewing TomTom’s policies and procedures as well as a random survey of TomTom customers who recently contacted the call center. Customer support representatives are evaluated based on several criteria: courtesy, knowledge, concern for the customer, usefulness of the information provided, convenience of operating hours, ease of reaching a representative, and timely resolution. TomTom’s call center has handled more than 900,000 telephone, e-mail and fax interactions in 2009 from its operations in Concord, MA and Watertown, NY.
