The Eclipse AVN 2210p Wins Popular Mechanics Editor’s Choice Award at CES

Fujitsu-TEN Eclipse AVN 2210p, in collaboration with TomTom, a leading navigation solutions provider, was selected as one of the best new automotive products by Popular Mechanics magazine for its outstanding achievement in new product design and innovation.The prestigious Editor’s Choice award is presented to a select number of outstanding products each year. With more than nine million readers, The Popular Mechanics Editor's Choice Awards has honored new products since 1998.

The Eclipse AVN 2210p featuring TomTom technology, integrates seamlessly with an installed stereo system, and also pops out for fully-functional walking-around duty. Additionally, the AVN2210 has a direct iPod input that will allow control through the TomTom’s 3.5-inch color touchscreen. The Eclipse AVN 2210p is the world’s first portable navigation device which can be embedded into vehicles through the dashboard or the radio. The unit will be available in the summer 2007.

The TomTom GO and ONE lines of personal portable navigation devices are designed for travel lovers. Whether it’s a short drive to the local Dunkin Donuts or a family road trip to Yosemite Park, the TomTom can easily supply a detailed itinerary outlining fast routes, even avoiding toll roads. As the personal navigation market grows and oil prices rise, consumers are looking for “easy to use” devices that can smartly and efficiently direct them to their destination.

TomTom portable navigation devices are available nationwide at retailers including Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Circuit City and RadioShack.
