Which devices come with Lifetime TomTom Traffic?

All devices in the new TomTom GO range come with Lifetime TomTom Traffic1. Depending on which TomTom GO model you choose, you can connect to TomTom Traffic in one of two ways:

Smartphone Connected

What does "Lifetime TomTom Traffic" mean?

  • Lifetime – this is the useful life of the device, so means the period of time that TomTom continues to support your device with software updates, services, content or accessories. A device will have reached the end of its life when none of these are available any more.
  • TomTom Traffic (formerly known as TomTom HD Traffic) – this is TomTom’s premium real-time traffic information service. It pinpoints exactly where delays start and end so you always know your fastest route.

Lifetime TomTom Traffic

What are the terms and conditions applicable to Lifetime TomTom Traffic?

You must purchase a new TomTom GO device which includes Lifetime TomTom Traffic to qualify for this offer.

Lifetime TomTom Traffic can only be used on the TomTom GO device that you have purchased and cannot be transferred to another TomTom device or smartphone app.

If you pass on, or sell your TomTom GO with Lifetime TomTom Traffic, this service will be transferred to the new user.

To get TomTom Traffic, your device needs to be connected. Depending on which model you choose, the connection is provided in one of two ways:

  • Smartphone Connected – for these devices, you provide the connectivity via your own smartphone. Your smartphone needs to be compatible and come with a data plan for which extra costs may apply. TomTom cannot take responsibility for your network’s connectivity coverage.

  • Always connected – for these devices, TomTom provides the connectivity ensuring TomTom Traffic works straight out of the box. For this connectivity, TomTom relies on the services of third parties, therefore we cannot fully guarantee the networks’ connectivity coverage.

TomTom retains the right to amend the conditions of the Lifetime TomTom Traffic offer if conditions with our third parties change.
