How will I know when a new map release is available?

If you are not offered a new map straight away, it means you already have the latest map.

You will receive an email every time a new release of your map becomes available, with instructions on how to download it.

Is Map Update Service available for my device?

Map Update Service is available on most TomTom devices.

Unfortunately Map Update Service is not currently available on the Navigator 7, TomTom App for iPhone or pre-installed maps on SD card.

Please note that Map Update Service cannot be transferred to another TomTom device or another user.

Map Update Service works only with the active map on your device / account. If you do not have the map already, you will need to buy it in order to start the service. We will offer you an upgrade at a discounted price. Price discounts depend on the age of your map

Is Map Update Service available for my country?

Map Update Service is available on most TomTom maps. Please check the graphic below for coverage.

A greater number of countries are available as travel maps. To see TomTom’s full range of maps, go to the travel map section

Ensure that you check the coverage of the actual map you are purchasing to check it includes all the countries you need
