Backing up your TomTom device is now easier than ever. If you haven't already, you will need to download and install TomTom HOME.

Tips:
Data transfer may not work properly if the connection to your computer is via a USB hub or keyboard.
We recommend that you quit any other running applications, especially anti-virus software (Norton, McAfee etc.)
Once TomTom HOME is installed, run the program, turn your TomTom device on and connect it to your computer.
In some cases, HOME may prompt you to make a backup, if you haven't done so for some time.

You may choose Yes if you receive this message. Otherwise, to may perform a manual backup of TomTom HOME.
To begin, select your version of HOME:

1. On Page 1 of 2, click on Backup and restore and then click on Back up my device.

Do not disconnect the device until the backup has finished.


1. On the left-hand side of TomTom HOME click on Make backup.
2. Click on the green Backup button in the upper-right corner.

3. Enter a name for the backup, then click OK.

4. HOME will begin backing up your TomTom's data.
